New Mercies Every Morning
“Every sunrise is proof that God’s love has not run out, His mercy is still flowing, and His faithfulness is holding you.”
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22–23)
There are days when life feels overwhelming, when yesterday’s failures or today’s pressures weigh heavy on our hearts. But this passage is God’s reminder that His love does not run dry, and His mercy never expires.
Think about that! Every single morning when you open your eyes, God is already there with fresh mercy for you. Yesterday’s mistakes? Covered. Yesterday’s struggles? Met with grace. Today’s challenges? Surrounded by His faithfulness.
The writer of Lamentations penned these words in the middle of deep sorrow and destruction. Yet even then, he lifted his eyes above the ruins to remember: God’s love is steadfast, His mercy is endless, and His faithfulness is great. If that was true for him in his darkest hour, it is true for us in ours.
So today, don’t carry the weight of yesterday into the new mercies of today. Let His love steady you, let His mercy renew you, and let His faithfulness give you hope.
Encouragement for Today:
God has already prepared enough mercy for every failure, every burden, and every battle you will face. Walk in the freedom of His fresh grace.
